A published methodology
Every weight, every normalization bound and every editorial judgement is written down on the methodology page, versioned, and changed only through a documented revision.
Honest freshness
Each value shows the period it describes, not the day we fetched it. 3 of the 6 batteries are built entirely on annual series, and the site says so instead of simulating a live feed.
A public status page
Collection failures, overdue sources and open data-quality flags are shown on the status page rather than hidden.
